| | A rather strange introduction
Perhaps this will sound like a rather strange introduction.
After 4 years spent in Zurich I realize that I haven't met any real interesting person.
It's not surprising, because when you're a peculiar guy, you don't meet people like you, or you like, by accident.
People I met were sometimes brilliant, smart, funny, educated ... but either boring, or shallow, or ...
Well, normal.
If you now are thinking 'what's wrong with this guy' I can give you a very satisfactory answer: a lot.
Oh yes, a lot indeed.
If you are in similar conditions, well, at least we share something.
It could be not sufficient, but it's close to necessary.
Cheers

Let's hope all the "failures" you have met don't turn up as EF regulars at the next EF event, hey?
Welcome aboard, hope you find what you're looking for.

Somebody once argued that normal is average, and therefore most of us have an abnormal number of legs, eyes and arms. What fails in a man that he wants to be normal ?

Hi and welcome.
As a two year citizen of Zurich, I think it's the first time I have been included in a sample set of "normals".
Coming from another "peculiar guy", what defines you in this way?

Thanks for the warm welcome.
I follow Grumpygit's suggestion and give you a brief description of my self.
From a physical point of view, I'm a masterpiece.
I'm not kidding.
Recently I was at the Kunsthaus (well, it was last summer actually ...).
I was in this nice room, surrounded by masterpieces, staring at a statue.
An old woman came in the same room.
She looked at the statue.
Then she looked at me.
And again at the statue.
And again at me.
Finally I told her 'Yes miss, I am a masterpiece'.
Indeed, it was hard to tell any difference between me and the statue.
I would like to end here my story, but I need to add that I was in the Giacometti Wing of the museum, and I really look like the 'walking man' and his brothers.
I am extremely, and selectively misanthropic.
I like the companionship of one - with a strong preference for women - but I'm not possessive in the least.
When I feel happy, I think I am a God surrounded by Humans.
Atheists.
I'm hard to believe because I mix ingredients of very different recipes.
What is normal to me could be a nightmare for others, what is normal for others, is a nightmare for me.
And the very simple fact that I'm looking for companionship after I gave this high resolution image of me and the others, adds another characteristic to myself: I'm a dreamer.

Thanks again guys.
I was looking for a specific section for discussions about literature, philosophy, history, starfishes, hot cups of tea and that kind of stuff, but couldn't find any.
Maybe is should consider the social events forum?
