Scotland to Switzerland (hopefully)

Hi, I'm a dentist in the UK and was wondering if English speaking dental practices in switzerland actually exist! I'm sure many of the dentists speak English as well as French/German/Italian but I'm only learning German at the moment and wouldn't be comfortable treating patients in a foreign language (until I become a bit more fluent). If anyone could point me in the right direction of a website where I could find out a bit more about the requirements to practice in Switzerland too that would be great!

Welcome to the forum from an oral surgeon.

I have been looking around a bit on your behalf but didn't find anything relevant. The website of the Swiss Dental Society (SSO) doesn't even have an English section. It looks like the demand just isn't big enough for that. However, I'm sure the people at their secretariate or the press and information service can tell you more and possibly provide you with documents.

Hi There

Welcome to the Forum.

Im not sure of how it would work setting up, however as someone in the same boat (only speaks a tiny amount of German) I am sure you would have a lot of patients from the ExPat community here. most of us seem to look for an English speaking doctor or an English speaking dentist so please keep us all informed if yuou are moving here to set up a practice.
