G'day from the sole antipodean in Aarwangen?!

Well, as you might have guessed I'm an Australian newbie (to Switzerland and to English forum). Hello to you all! It's great to find people from all over the world on this forum.

A quick intro: I moved here from Melbourne a month ago to join my Swiss partner and so far am enjoying life with the cows in Aarwangen (near Langenthal) where I'm claiming to be the only Aussie/Kiwi resident

Previously I've lived in Hong Kong, Singapore, Indonesia and most recently China, but this is my first experience of living in Europe. So if you see someone with eyes like saucers wandering around Bern (where I'm vainly plodding through a Migros Klubschule German course) it's probably me.

I'm always up for any outdoor or food-related adventures so if you're looking for extra company then I volunteer myself!

There are two ways of answering that, the innocent way or the EF way. (referring to miniMia)

Well that welcome was possibly the speediest thing that happened in Aarwangen today. Cheers to you all!

Might be difficult to work out if being the only kangaroo in the village is better than being the only gay in the village. Will have to ask one of my fellow antipodean, village-dwelling gay friends.

p.s. yes, it is past my bedtime

Thanks v much for welcome and the great tip re Dapur Indonesia. The menu on their website looks great, they even have Gudeg (haven't had that since I lived in Jogjakarta) - yum!
