Hello Nicu,
Welcome to Luzern!
Enjoy this beautiful city. Right now seems a bit crowded and I've hear it gets worse in the summer. |

Welcome to the Forum and Luzern! | Quote: | | | | | Hello Nicu,
Welcome to Luzern!
Enjoy this beautiful city. Right now seems a bit crowded and I've hear it gets worse in the summer. | | | | | Even at peak tourist season, I don't think I'd describe it as crowded, but the sun brings everyone out down by the river and the lake and it is hard to find seat outside. (Fasnacht, Blue Balls and the stadt Festival aside, when it's extremely crowded). If you do find it much, the countryside is only a couple of minutes away.

Thank you all for your welcome thoughts.
Considering the fact that I'm coming from Bucharest, I would say that Luzern is not crowded at all .
cheers,
Nicu

Hi there
Another new one to both Luzern and the forum! I'm from South Africa but just relocated with my family (been living in London for the last 8 years).
Bye

welcome to all those moving or just moved to Luzern! we will finally be in the area in 10 days time - and maybe i will meet you at German lessons in Luzern after the summer....! My husband is Zambian of South African roots, so might also enjoy some biltong (Spelling?) with you, if it is ever to be found in the Luzern area!

Hello all!
I am also new to the forum, and will hopefully be moving to Luzern at the beginning of September. Any tips on finding a furnished place to live that's not in a shared apartment? I'm also still trying to find a job so I can apply for a workers visa. I have my bachelors in finance and a minor in economics. I hear that the finance will help me, but I'm having a hard time finding companies that look for English speakers. I am willing to learn. I am first generation Italian. However, I don't speak Italian, do that doesn't help me much, but I know when I practice it comes pretty easy. I'm moving to Luzern with my boyfriend who has gotten accepted in the music school for his masters. So, housing and a job is what I primarily need help with. Any tips? I would greatly appreciate it. Oh and I'm a computer nerd! Love computers and I'm an excel geek. I'm in the middle of starting my one excel assistance business.
Anyways, looking forward to hearing from everyone! Thank you!
Antonella
