Aussie in Schmerikon

Hi!

My name is Tara. I am 22y.o from Perth, Australia.

I moved to Schmerikon about 3 weeks ago to au pair for a year and to play Unihockey.

I dont mind a drink or two . So let me know if anyone wants to meet up for a drink, coffee or something

Looking forward to meeting some of you.

Cheers
Tara

Re: Aussie in Schmerikon

Hey Tara, I was in Schmerikon last Sunday, enjoying the nice weather on the lake shore and having a drink on the terrace of the Strandhotel at the marina. How come I didn't meet you? After all, Schmerikon isn't that big....

Anyway, welcome to Switzerland and the English Forum. I hope everything is going well. You caught a really great period of nice weather. Usually April is quite a mixed bag of things in most parts of Switzerland, ranging from snow through thunderstorms to plain sunshine. Enjoy what Mother Nature has to offer!

Hi,

Oh ok, unfortunately I was in Ruti on Sunday. Yes Schmerikon isn't very big is it? hahaha but it is very nice!

everything is going great. The family i am au-pairing for are really nice and very understanding.

I think i brang the good weather with me. Just before i left Perth it was sunny and about 30 deg. Then I moved here and its sunny in switzerland and now raining in Perth. hahahha I heard this weather is quite unusual for this time of year!

Tara

Welcome Sandgroper !!!

Ta for bringing the weather with you..... greatly appreciated
(get used to absolute disapointment in the Winter though)

I know you travelled to the other side of the planet to get away from other Aussies, but there will be an ANZAC day celebration at the Olivers Twist pub in Niederdorf, Zurich (other end of the lake)

Good luck with everything

G'day, another Sandgroper. Welcome to sunny switzerland ay. Bet ya didn't expect that for a greating here...

I'm not really sure where Schmerikon is. I'm guessing down Gold Coast way.

Good luck with everything. My Melbourne mate and I (25+32yo) hook up often for a sneaky beer on the lake or on the Limmat. Could PM you next time if ya like....
