Hi all, I joined the forum recently, and ought to introduce myself.
Briefly: born in Edinburgh, raised in Cape Town and Sydney primarily. I've spent the past five years working in Edinburgh as an administrator, and worked in advertising prior to that.
Will be landing in Geneva this weekend, and I'm looking forward to this chapter with some enthusiasm. I expect I'll be making regular use of the forum in the days/weeks/months to come.

There's a lot to learn here - the Swiss do things -er, differently. However you can find a load of hints on the Forum and when you've waded through all the stuff already here, you'll mostly find someone who can answer specific questions. Do try to search for Threads already here though, won't you? There are nasty, nasty EFers who jump on unsuspecting Newbies who don't know their way around here yet. (And of course, there are the Mods, those dreadful beings who have power to remove your posts if it so takes their fancy).

Have fun and enjoy the spring - one of these days it will start raining again.

Thanks for the welcome... I'll be mindful of the norms and etiquette observed both in Geneva and on EF... And after five years in Scotland, I expect I'll continue to be grateful for every day that it doesn't rain...
