Hello everyone

I've just spent an hour or so going through the forums and I'm grateful for all of the information that's available. I thought I would drop in and introduce myself.

My wife just accepted a position at the International School so we are moving to Schaffhausen from Adelaide, South Australia this July. She is, of course, a teacher and I will be taking a break from the police and hope to find some work in Schaffhausen.

It sounds like a beautiful place with nice people so I'm really looking forward to getting over there, divng into the culture and hopefully learning another language.

Take it easy,

Lucien

Welcome to the Forum.
I'm glad you've been having a good look round here and been picking out some of the information you'll be needing.

Lots of stuff in the Sticky Threads at the top of the relevant forums which it's worth spending an evening going through. DO make a note of anything you find particularly helpful as you will never, ever be able to find it again.

Spoken by an experienced 'loser' of links... I'm SURE I've seen that bit on EF somewhere. Now where was it? Housing? No, perhaps Daily Life? No, -er

Wow, how exciting for you all. My husband has been working in Basel for over a year now and my daughter and I are moving out to be with him now and we are moving to Reinach ( very, very near the ISB) 2 weeks today!!!
Wish you lots of many many happy years working and living in Switzerland. If you fancy meeting up with the whole family for coffee PM me and we can arrange something. Good luck with your move
Sarah
