hello - been in CH for a year - new to EF

Hi,
I've been in Bern on and off for a year. We have another 5-6 months on a work assignment and I've just joined the forum. (I've read a bit in the last month or so though.)
It's good to be able to post my appreciation for the tips I've picked up here!
So thanks & I look forward to more.....and maybe even contributing.

Della

Hi Della,
I'm a newbie here too, though I'm not in CH yet.
I came here for advice and tips and mostly the folk have been really helpful.
Will you be going back home after your contract is up or heading on somewhere else?
And yes, do contribute.

Wow! You dug a 5 year old thread out just to say hi. I'm impressed.

I think, given she says they only had 5-6 months to go that she's long relocated to her next destination.

But she did come back to Switzerland to live in Lausanne not that long ago so it could be a welcome back.

Just trying to be friendly!

I think my iPad is playing tricks with me though - it suggests threads at the bottom of the page, and doesn't give the date. So when I see someone introducing themselves and no-one's answered, I feel I should do my bit to make them welcome.

I *do* have a rather ancient iPad, I have to admit.
Also what's with the message I got on PM saying "you may only post 4 messages in 1440 minutes"? Why?
And why 1440 minutes?
Bizarre ...

Many other forums warn users if they have attempt to add a post to an old thread e.g.:

New members are under PM restrictions to prevent spamming. Hang in there and use the PMs wisely.
