New in Zug after 3 years in South Africa

Hello Everyone,
I have moved to Zug beginning of April with my husband and my 8 months girl Mia.

We spent 3 years in South Africa, working on the 2010 FIFA World cup before moving to Zug, and before SA we were in Lindon for nearly 10 years.

We are both French but we spent so much time in England that it feels right being on this forum rather than a French one!

My husband is working and I am a full time mum at the moment, so I am keen to meet people or at least have a few chats on this forum.

Looking forward to getting to know some of you!

Cheers

Bad start... I meant London, not Lindon!

Welcome!

If you need an expat fix, Pickwiks is the place to go, but you've probably worked that out already

Zug has a lot to offer for lifestyle, you should enjoy it here.

Hi everyone!

Unfortunately Krazy8s, haven't worked it out yet... We've been so busy finding a flat and getting our removal organised that we've just not yet have time to figure out those places.

Where is Pickwiks? Is it next to the train station?

Zug is a lovely place and exactly what we needed in terms of lifestlye. Very expensive though! And we thought London was bad...

Well it is nice to see that I'm not alone! I'm glad I joined this forum!

Yep, english Pub next to the train station. Its not the only Expat "meeting point" for Zug, but its probably the most sociable as the crowd there are a good mix of all sorts of nationalities.

Plenty of Expats and services in Zug that can help you get used to the place or direct you to services that make life a little simpler

Expensive, yeah I guess, but then you'd be hard pressed to find anywhere in CH that isnt expensive

Welcome to Zug! I guess it would be good to organize some chill beers in Pickwicks (or somewhere else) for the people in the forum that live in Zug, it seems that we're quite a lot of us!

Welcome to Zug. The two international clubs (IMCZ (http://www.imcz.com/home.asp) and ZIWC(http://www.ziwc.ch/home.php) may well help to allow you to meet others of all nationalities ...... as well as many Swiss.

We go bowling every month you can see the dates on the website http://imcz.entourage-butterworth.net

Sounds good. My husband and I would really like to meet new people so if you organise anything we'll be there! (If we can bring a 9 months old as we haven't found a nanny yet!).

Thx for the links. Will check them out.
