| Hi Helm, thanks for the welcome. You visited just Tromso and nowhere else in Norway? Considering the travel options, that is somewhat impressive. I have yet to venture that far north, but hopefully in the near future. In some ways, Switzerland reminds me of Norway.
Did you try brown cheese? | |

I went to Tromso with my school

I was doing Erasmus in Oulu, Finland, and we went to Tromso for a week to make an Art exhibition (since Oulu is only 30km away from the artic circle, Tromso is not that far away

). It was December, it was very cold, and the exhibition was in an old fishing warehouse with falling apart wooden boards... I was never so cold in my life, but the view of the harbour is absolutely amazing (when your eye lashes are not gluing together...)
I didn't eat any cheese, I believe, but they gave us this very “exotic” fish to eat, together with its fish eggs, which made all non-Portuguese students wince and scream... Since 80% of Norwegian cod-fish (bacalhau) ends up on a Portuguese plate, I felt like home!!!!
The most gorgeous memories I have of Norway, though, are from the Northern Lights. I have never seen anything more beautiful! When the Erasmus students where screaming of delight during the night, the Finnish and Norwegian threw bottles of beer at us and told us to scream only if it turned orange, and proceeded to go to bed absolutely bored
