Hi All,

Am moving to the Geneva area with my fiance, as she has a new job in Morges and I am joining her, just wondering how it works permitwise as I am currently looking for jobs in the removals industry and have some interviews lined up but will be coming over to join her on the 9th of June anyway.
Could anyone advise the procedure with permits, I am a british citizen and my fiance is also british.
Cant wait to get over there and if anyone could recommend good websites for apartments it would be much appreciated!

not to put too fine a point on it... but when are you getting married?

you don't stand much of a chance for a work permit until she puts a ring on your finger.

we werent planning an immediate wedding, but would I be ok if I am successful in my interviews and my new company arrange the permit?

I'll leave this to others to post but I can't envision a removals company arranging your work permit.

most employers want to know what your permit status is before you even make it to an interview.


p.s.. how is your french?

I have spoken already with 3 companies and have meetings with them when I arrive, I work in relocations / removals at a management level and hope this will help me find work, my French is weak but my fiances company are providing lessons for us.
Can I be given a B permit if my fiance agrees to support me while I am in Switzerland?
