| | New to Forum & Switzerland..
Hi, My name is Sarah and i am moving to Reinach in July with my daughter whos 9 to be with my husband (and daddy!) who is currently living in basel.
At present we are still in England and really excited about moving out. We have a house sorted and we are all packed up and cannot wait to move out to be in sunny Switzerland as a complete family again after a year apart and seeing each other every few weeks!!
I am looking forward to hopefully meeting up and making some great friends and havign many a BBQ, party or drinks to get to know people. Our daughter is soo excited too about moving and cannot wait to make new friends also and try her hand (or feet!) at skiing..
Kind regards

Welcome Sarah to the forum and soon to Switzerland.
I can well imagine how excited you and your daughter are to moving out here and being together with your hubby/daddy on a full-time basis.
Yes, this is indeed a good time of year to be moving and enjoying the wonderful outdoors lifestyle the warm weather affords, especially barbies.
Good luck with everything and all the best!

I can't quite welcome you to CH just yet since I'm not there yet myself but I do hope to make your acquaintance in the near future! Have fun with all those last minute preparations.

Hi Sarah, just like CHanuck, I can't welcome you either to CH but to the Forum yes! I too have a 10 going on 11 yr old (and 2 more!) who will finally join Daddy in Basel (or France border) end June/early July.
Both gals are looking forward to learning French after a not too successful attempt at learning Dutch. But more so, skiing too!! Enjoy the move but watch out for the stress! | This user would like to thank ThirdCultureKidsMummy for this useful post:

How exciting for you too! wonderful news. Stress has already risen its ugly head!! no move is ever stress free, let alone moving abroad with child, dog, cat!! and still hunting for school etc. At least house is sorted and my husband is very very happy in his job and has loved living in Basel for the last year. Good luck to you and your family too where ever you set down your roots. x | This user would like to thank Lil'Angel for this useful post:
