| | Argentinian girl that ended up in Zürich!
Hello everybody!
I've been reading and taking some tips from this forum for quite some time now, so I decided it was time to introduce myself and start interacting a bit around here (instead of just quietly watching from afar!)
So my story is the following: My name is Andrea, I'm 25 years old and I'm currently a PhD Student in Computer Science at ETHZ. It all started in March 2008 when I got accepted for a scholarship to go and finish my master's degree in France. After 2 years of adapting to France (which is cool but it's a whole different story) and learning how to master the complicated subtleties of French language, I got accepted to start my PhD here in Zürich. So here I am after 8 months.. trying now to master the complicated subtleties of Swiss-german language.. which is not really working out for me since I barely understand the basics of high german.. But I'm not giving up Adapting to all the strict (and sometimes crazy) rules.. that might be a whole different thing! But I hope with some help around here I can survive without getting any huge fine or thrown into prison (or kicked out of the country by some crazy SVP guys) :P
Anyway, if somebody wants to become friends.. just say hi! |

Also I forgot to say that as far as hobbies go, I really love music. I like classic rock, classic metal, and classical music.. all the classics! I guess Zürich is not that bad for me.. tonight I'm going to see Roger Waters (yay!!). I also love painting and I've already been to the Kunsthaus which is really nice.. but I would gladly go again if I find some art lovers that would like to go too.
I also used to sing in a choir back in Argentina so I'm currently looking for something like this around here (if somebody has any tips...).
