Hello everyone,

I wanted to post a brief introduction to the group even though I've been reading a lot and posting a few times, and will continue to do so!!

My husband and I will be moving to Zurich in early August. My job is transferring me over there, and finalizing my work permit now. We are thrilled at the opportunity, nervous, excited, scared, etc. as I'm sure everyone in similar situations has experienced!! I'm 30 and my husband is 32 and we have only been married 8 months, so it's the perfect timing (no kids yet). This forum has been extremely helpful and I know it will only be more helpful going forward!!

We'll be visiting early next month to check out the different areas to live , banking, medical, etc. We enjoy being outdoors whether running, hiking, biking, sitting in an outdoor cafe, etc. so if anyone has any ideas on best areas to live, that would be greatly appreciated (though I will be posting separately as well)... Anyways, just wanted to say hello.

Welcome to Zurich - you will have a great time. Very simialr story to me and my husband and I know how nervious you must feel but don't worry after a week or two you both will have settled in nicely. I live in Otelfingen and will be moving out of a 4.5 apartment soon so it could be available for early August. The agent will be putting it on the market this week but if you are interested let me know and I can send you on some pictures.

My husband and I moved to Zurich from NC in December - no kids either. It's great here. We live in Kreis 7 in an area called Hirslanden. We relocated b/c of his job ... I'm looking for working and doing some freelancing to try and keep sane Good luck with the move.
