We will be there in Kussnacht in 3 weeks time, also with our 2 dogs (border terriers) - so if you find any good places to walk the dogs between Zug and Luzern, let me know and we will join you!

We have found a few good places here in Zug. Around the lake there are open spaces for the dogs to run. If your dogs swim, they can always go in the lake.

Just a heads up...our dogs thought that Switzerland smelled better than anywhere else in the world for the first two weeks. They wanted to sniff and roll in everything. For a few days it was hard for us to get our Boston Terrier to run because she would start, then mid stride smell something and start rolling around on the grass!

Im, moving over to Zug in August as a nanny. I'll be leaving by cocker spaniel at home :-( i would be very interested in joining anyone for walks at the weekends as i love dogs lol

Welcome to canton Zug!

Cham is between Zug and Lucerne and is quite a dog's paradise - river and lake for swimming, and lots of meadows behind Andreas Klinik (hospital) for the pooches to run off-leash and catch a frisbee. There's also the Eizmoos forest with two BBQ spots complete with benches and picnic tables. Our Lab can attest to all this. Sometimes on a hot day, she swims twice - once in the lake and once in the river Lorze.
