New to EF

Hello all

Every time I enter a question into a search engine, this forum always comes up, so I thought I'd save time and join.

Originally from Wales, I'm not new to Switzerland - been here seven years, married to Swiss husband for two. No kids, three pugs. We live between Zürich and Zug, in a small village with all the usual amenities: supermarket, restaurant, monastery and scuba-diving shop.

I'm a writer but in order to pay for dog food, I also teach business English.
I loathe winter sports, dislike chocolate and my favourite cheese is Cheddar, but I do love Switzerland.

Look forward to learning from the wise minds herein.

Jill

Axewoman,

Welcome. Sounds like you have a sharp sense of humour.

What kind of writer are you - I presume Murder/Mystery or Thrillers

How wise you are, Maximus.
Did you deduce all that from my intro?
Do you write too? Shall we collaborate and knock Dan Brown off his perch?
Murder-mystery thrillers set in the Swiss underworld with a healthy dose of Papal conspiracy and money-laundering ...
Can I leave the title to you?

Wow! You must be the first new member who already knows whether it's possible to live on CHF100'000 a year, whether you should import your car, and where to find brown sugar in Switzerland. (Don't worry, if you don't get why this is funny now, you will after a few months of being here).

Welcome aboard!
