I just found out about this forum today. sEems like there is a lot of good information in here! My husband, 7 year old son and I will be staying in Zurich for a month this July. We are coming for my husband's job and currently live in Los Angeles.

Would love advice on what to do with a video game loving 7 year old! Also, any advice on how to find a good occasional babysitter? We will be staying near Belvoir Park.

When I was that age we once on a holiday in Switzerland went to the Swiss Science Center, http://www.technorama.ch/, a museum in which kids can do loads of practical experiments. Loved it back then and went back some twenty years later - still fun.

I guess that's a good plan for a rainy day.

I have a couple teenage girls who would love to babysit. I also have a 6 year old gaming fanatic boy.
There are tons of things to do in Zurich for a month. Zoo, pedaling on the lake, hiking, taking a train to Lugano just to see the sun ...
You will find lots of fun stuff.
