Long lost friends found themselves on EF in Switzerland

They are in Worthing - I have reassured them that if neccessary I will pay for flights! I'm sure once they get the hang of Skype all will be okay - to be fair I have only had a handful of visits over the last decade, so they will probably rely on me travelling home, rather than taking advantage of holiday options! (They don't travel well, lol)

Gatwick to Geneva should be easy from Worthing. If they don't like flying they could always get the Eurostar/TGV from London or Ashford via Paris to Lausanne. It doesn't take a lot longer overall but is more expensive. It is a less stressful journey.

With Skype, Facebook etc. it is easy to keep in touch.

My sister has some crazy idea about driving from Worthing in her clapped out old Golf (L reg) - bless her she loves that car! I will look out the info on the Eurostar/LGV - thanks for the tip.

Cornwall ....What a wonderfull place! I have just bought a house there as my mum lives there. You are really going to miss that beautiful English coastline, friendly people and BIG FAT STRAWBERRY JAM CREAM SCONES!

You came from a great county too! I spent 3 years in the seventies in W. Sussex in Ferring-by-the-sea, lovely place, have some great friends still there, but the South Coast has changed a lot. I find it is not so relaxed anymore. It is either that or I have changed even more!

Ferring is even closer to my family (they are in Goring, I was actually brought up in Littlehampton) - you're right though - that whole area has changed alot since I left only 12 years ago! Obviously living in Kernow makes me more laid back, lol .

Lol, you'll make me not want to leave on Saturday... Maybe I should get a good pasty recipe before I ship out

Medium Steak yesterday for lunch... and a quick trip into Trago's... They do do frozen ones now (although they are in Asda's - Rowes) ! Yummy!!

That place is totally mad! The statues outside have to be the most surreal experience ever

And the inside isn't much better either

I'm originally from Plymouth, I know that makes me officially Devon, but I could see Tamar Bridge and Saltash from my window............

Not to mention the wonderful old Brunel bridge

Ah, Brunel...... changed the gauge from London to Bristol in a fortnight, made wonderful Tunnels and Bridges - what ever happened to the good old British way of getting something done, sure a few people died but hey progress......
