	Gatwick to Geneva should be easy from Worthing. If they don't like flying they could always get the Eurostar/TGV from London or Ashford via Paris to Lausanne. It doesn't take a lot longer overall but is more expensive. It is a less stressful journey. With Skype, Facebook etc. it is easy to keep in touch.

You can also fly Bournemouth > Geneva by Easy Jet in winter, details here.

BTW here, for those who don't know Cornwall, here's how some of the locals describe it.

We go to the little one in falmouth (which has an oggy-oggy opposite), but it's still hectic, with nearly everything you need in it, lol!
