New in Basel

Hello all,

I arrived in Basel about 6 weeks ago, will stay for a yet undetermined period of time. Since it takes time to get to know Swiss people, i thought i'd try meeting the expat community as well, so here i am!

Looking forward to meeting you all!

Anne-Lyse

Re: New in Basel

Thanks for the welcoming messages!

I'm always up for drinks, coffees, more drinks and food Plus i've seen weekly Climbing sessions in K7 and other events that seem fun so you guys will see me around (as long as it starts after 8pm as i left in France the 35h work week, strike days etc). I'm also looking forward to swimming in the Rhein sometimes this summer, so if some of you plan on doing it one day, let me know!

Welcome to Basel, Anne-Lise! I am a new arrival myself. I hope to have an opportunity to meet you soon...perhaps while floating on the Rhein?

Re: New in Basel

So many newbies in Basel this spring! What about meeting for a drink after work sometimes over the next couple of weeks? (btw when i say "after work" it's not swiss standards but rather around 8-8:30pm) I'm sure we'll all appreciate an overprice beer/cocktail on a terrasse.

The ones who participated in the "switzerland is boring" thread are also wlecome of course

Re: New in Basel

Welcome to Basel!

Why don't you go ahead and create an event on a weekday after 8 pm? I'm sure people will turn up.

Just make note that your event is not scheduled on July 12th which is the day on which the Basel Curry event takes place.
