Just a small-ish hello (:

Why hello there,

My name's David, am very British and love my life so very much.

I am a very eager athlete, having played and captained for the Swiss International Under 19's Cricket Team and won many tournaments whilst doing so (I now play - as a hobby thing - for regional Welsh teams). I also enjoyed playing tennis for the French Tennis Federation before moving 'part-time' to the UK again. I coach white water kayaking to the kids of the community I live in over here in Wales and get such a thrill from it. I love helping people - especially children. Which is why I have also just passed my Level One English Cricket Board Coaching Course so I can help give young people the chance to find passion for sport.

I also play guitar, drums and sing for quite a few bands but my real passion lies in acoustic songs which I perform with a dear friend of mine who sounds an awful lot like 'Regina Spektor'..

My world to this day is made whole by my sweetheart and the reason I joined this forum...well mostly because I wanted ideas for camping areas but we shall see what else pops up in the mean time (:

I suppose I should congratulate you if you have made it this far through my post and any suggestions, help or even a friendly hello's are welcomed and thanked very much for in my page/threads.

Take care,

Dave.

Welcome Dave to the forum and to Switzerland.

So do I get a pat on the back for making it to the end of your post!? Just kidding.

For sports lovers, especially of the outdoor variety, this country is wonderful. I used to really enjoy watching cricket and will always have a soft spot for it. I should get back into watching it again but will have to re-learn all the rules first!

Anyway, welcome again and have lots of fun.

Cheers.

Welcome to EF, David -- I was going to say that it's great to see Bertrand's brother here, but it looks like he got in before me.

Hang on -- are Bertrand - Geneva and David - Geneva one and the same? Discuss.

Laws ... it's really very important ...

In my experience, it takes a lifetime of avid dedication to come anywhere close to understanding the laws!

Oooops!

Yeah, so much to learn but not enough lifetime left in which to do it.

I just met you and I reckon you're under 50. You can do it.

Oh yeah, welcome again, D - Gen. Hey, what's your link to Geneva now, by the way?

Re: Just a small-ish hello (:

Hi and welcome to the forum and the area!

If you are in Geneva 1st of august, I will be yodelling again at Paquis public beach, together with other 100 nuts who don't mind waking up at wee hours to get together and have some yodel fun at 6am!

I am a musician and fan of different type of music, but can't miss this fun and slightly bizarro bit of Aug 1st fun.

haha why thank you I am finally moving in with my partner (in Geneva) for a few months during the year. Work/studying means I must travel backwards and forwards between the UK and Switzerland.

The lake parade? I shall look this up (:
