Hi everyone

My name is Mary and I come from France. I arrived in Basel in February 2010 (and spent 2 and a half years in Bern before that) and work as a translator from German into French. Switzerland is a beautiful country but I find it really hard here to make friends, especially Swiss ones. So I thought it would be nice to try to meet other expats! :-)

I love foreign languages and cultures, travelling, (rock)music -especially music from the 70's, psychedelic rock, progressive rock, dark folk, post rock, stoner rock, blues, etc etc.-, photography, going for a walk in nature, going to the movies (im a big KultKino fan !! ) etc. Im not a party animal (you will never find me in a disco) so it makes it even harder for me to get to know people here!

It would be great to meet English or German or Frenchspeakers about my age (about 25 to 35) to have a drink, go out for dinner, swim in the Rhine, go to concerts, to the movies or just hang out in town or share a cup of tea (or coffee ;-)!

Maybe some of you are in the same situation as me?

I think you'll find many members to hang out with in Basel, unfortunately i'm bit far from Basel but would defo let you know if i'm ever around to the city to hangout for coffee or something

I too am relatively new in Basel. I moved there in January, but have not had much time to get out and about.
