I don't live in Estavayer, but I enjoy stopping there for lunch when out cycling in that region. It's a wonderful place to explore: the cute castle, city walls, and the old buildings. I hope you enjoy living there.

I think some farmers do, and people that were born there. I have never heard of anyone moving there. Not much to do.
Are you going for a job?

Re: Hello Any One In Estavayer Le Lac

Hi Chris and PC Designs

I know we have decided to move out to the sticks. But hey i quite like living amongst the locals.

My hubby and i have been living in dubai for 16 years - so lets put it this way - sand, heat, sand, camels, sand, building contstruction, sand, airconditioning and more *&^%$@* sand!

So the opportunity to live near a castle, lake, green hills, lake, village, lake - is like a dream come true! He will be working in Fribourg and I will be studing in Fribourg and having guests pop in for lunch or a drink whilst they whiz past on their bikes.

Hey I can be the official drinks stop!! That sounds great to me - I make an excellent "green meany"!! And i hear everybody say whats a green meany well that's a secret - but it definately puts a simile on everybody's face

Cheers Crazy Kerrri who's coming to Estavayer-le-lac!

Hi Kerri
I just might have to stop in to try a green meany - you have sparked my curiosity. And, if you're ever bored in Estavayer maybe you can swing down to Lausanne for one of our social nights, they're always pretty lively.
Chris.

Re: Hello Any One In Estavayer Le Lac

I have spend a most enjoyable day today in Estavayer & Payerne. There is a great charity shop in Estavayer that if you like a bargain - it is for you!
Payerne is a nice town about 5 miles from you. Make sure you visit the Abbatiale. I live a lot of the time near Yverdon and love the Jura vaudois and the Broye. It is an area that a lot of people are not familiar with but I am sure that you will be very happy in that beautiful town.

Estavayer is beautiful, been there last summer.

I heard it can be sort of a foghole from time to time though, care to chime in on that from your experience?
