Welcome! Keep that spirit and the real life manifestations of the Complaint Corner will be minor nuisances.

July 3 was the 22nd anniversary of my move here, and, yes, I still find it brilliant. 10 days back in the UK has just helped confirm it too...

Re: This place is brilliant!!!

Good post and nice intro.

My Friday advice for Zürich; don't order the chocolate brownie at Steinfels restaurant, all you get is around 0.0016Kgs of brown smudge on your plate that would challenge any trained lab technician using the latest microscopic examination methods to detect.

Re: This place is brilliant!!!

Yes Mary I still have a big part of my heart in the UK (as well as friends, family, daughters and grandchildren, oh, and a flat for regular visits).

John, glad you are enjoying it so far. Hurra. have you been to the Café des Cerfs yet, where most young Brits hang out?

If ever you need an (older) shoulder to cry on- and some feeding up, just get in touch and come up to t'mountains. Are you a skier or border btw?

Hi everyone!

I just started my job on Monday and boy am i happy, the job is great, not too stressfull compared to what I was doing (I've changed from private practice to in house), my colleagues are great...we have already been out and about a couple of evenings mostly with locals, I've already made a few acquaintances out of work, I've been hiking up the mounains in the forest, seen panoramic vies of the lakes and Alps, I've partied all night....not bad considering I only arrived last Friday!

Who said that Switzerland was boring!!!

The quality of life is exceptional, I really think I'm going to stay here for a long time...just need a Swiss girlfirend

I thought I'd post these comments for people who are considering coming here, its simply great!

Cheers!

JT

Wonderful news that your have settled in and are so happy. Welcome to Switzerland. Enjoy and good luck. Sarah

Pathetic performance I'd say Mind you it took me 5 weeks to find a husband in London, so you have plenty of time (mind you, that was the last thing I was looking for).
