| | Might move to ZRH in a few months
Hi people --- I have the opportunity to relocate to ZRH for a 2-3 year assignment. I was directed to this forum a few hours ago by a helpful person on zurichexpats.com
We are a family of 3: wife, 14 month old boy and me..
I was born in dubai, raised in middle east, india, africa (yes lotsa moving - my dad had a pretty neat job) and have been living in the US for about 8 years - Philadelphia, Richmond VA, and now St. Louis.
I look forward to getting advice from all forum members and hopefully this will help us make an informed decision..
For starters --- I was wondering if the Living and Working in Zurich is a book worth buying? Or are there any better ones out there..
Thanks,

Welcome to the forum!
The book to which you refer is a good one, but, to be honest, almost everything is covered on this forum somewhere or other. Use the search functions under the Quickies button at the top, read all the Stickies (permanently high placed threads in each subject area) and, if your questions still aren't answered, ask away. If you get a rude response, take it in good spirit, don't take anything personally, join in some of the banter and you'll have a splendid time.
Good luck!

Hi, I'm moving to Baden (near Zurich) in September. I'm coming from Chicago (but am originally from St. Louis :-) ). I bought Living and Working in Switzerland, and find it helpful since I can put my own notes in there, and can carry it around with me, so I can reference it at any time. I'm not sure how helpful it will be, until I actually arrive in Switzerland, but so far, I find it extremely helpful and well organized.
Good luck with your decision, and possible move!
