If I were trying a scam I think I would cast my net wider than people named Baumann / Bowmann trying to trace their ancestry on an English Forum...

Otherwise it would be a Fail of the Day, oder?

True, but I have many examples of budding 419ers who could qualify for fail of the century. The best one though are getting quite imaginative.
