Taipei & San Francisco to Zug

Hello,

I and my wife and 3 little boys ages 2, 4 and 7 are considering a move from San Francisco to Switzerland. We had been living previously for 12 years in Taiwan. I have been reading these forums for the past 2 or 3 months and I have learned so much. Thank-you. This week, we make our first trip to have a look around this Zug area of Switzerland.

We should qualify for that yearly rent times 5 tax method so it means we have to live in a place which allows that, which rules out Zurich and Basel since they changed the rules recently. Most likely ZUG for us.

I'll do a search for the best towns to check out to live in.

Thanks for all of your combined wisedom and helpful advice to all.

Regards,
Cavalier

Welcome to the EF.... Good luck finding a place to live. You should enjoy your visit to Zug. Schwyz is also a good place to look for a tax agreement I believe. But lots of people in Zug are here in Tax agreements. You should be able to do everything pretty easily. If you need any help while youre here let me know.
