Hi, tourist here, from India

Hello,
I am a future vistor to your country(coming in september) and will be doing Austria and switzerland by car.
Have already found lot of helpful information, and some brickbats.

Me and my wife love travelling, and have driven extensively in california, some nevada and lots of Himalayas.
Most of our travels avoid public transport, because my camera bag weighs 4kgs, and tripod weighs 3

And anyways, there is hardly any public transport of in nether regions of India, and shared taxis are expensive and not fun.

Anyways I am digressing... my interests are travel and photography. Like mountains a lot.

Switzerland looks very attractive because of the virgin alpine landscape. Sadly, lower himalaya is no longer that green.
Upper is beautiful, but not much grows at 15000 feet.

Moreover, hardly any car accessible glaciers in the Himalayas.

We will be in switzerland for 6 nights, and from what we are planning, its going to be packed days, with 2 days of enjoying public transport in Bernese oberland, and doing some hikes and boat trips (when you have the pass, why not use it )

anyways, you can check out my photography here

September is a good time to visit the Alps: the cooler temperatures mean less humidity and less haze, bringing clearer skies and valleys.

Thanks for your comments. I am indeed counting on the clear skies and low haze!
