Hi All!

My husband is half Swiss and has family in Basel, Fribourg and other towns. We both have friends out there. My husband is finally wanting to leave California for an adventure! His dream is to work outdoors and coach children in sports. He grew up on a farm here in California, USA that his Swiss grandparents started. He currently teaches High School World History and has coached Football, Wrestling, Track. There's a family friend there in Switzerland who has a farm during the non winter months and a working ski resort in the winter. My husband would love to work there. We lost his number so we are hoping that his grandparents will give it to him when they get back from visiting Fribourg in a week or too.

? Does Switzerland issue work visas for people like us to work on a farm/resort? Suggestions?

I am an opera singer and a professor of voice at a local college. I recently gave birth to our first child! She's 3 months old. We would love for her to learn Swiss and German and French like her Great Grandparents. After giving birth I feel ready to sing again. We are looking to visit during our Christmas/New Year break to see if it would be a good move for us. I hear it's expensive, sometimes racist (I'm black and my husband is white=mixed baby), and breathtaking. It'd be great if I had an audition with an agent, got a job and went from there.
