Moving to Geneva area in September

Hello

We (my wife and I) are moving to the Geneva area from New York end of August. I will be starting a new job in September and my wife will be looking for a new job (digital marketing). We are both French but want to live in Switzerland and integrate in the local life (we haven't lived in France since finishing our studies but never in Switzerland)

This is a pretty quick move (we only learned a couple of weeks ago) so this is going to be quite a rush! Luckily Englishforum is helping a lot (and increasing our fear on the accommodation side - hopefully it's on par with New York and we are lucky, nothing planned yet, except Lyon as a backup!)

Yann

Re: Moving to Geneva area in September

Hi,

I've lived in Gex, near Geneva, most of my life and so feel free to ask me if you need any helpp. It's a great area and I think you'll love it as there are so many things to do for anglophones.

Here's a few websites/radio stations/blogs to get you started on life in Geneva (events and news):
http://www.knowitall.ch (don't get the book without trying the website though)
www.inanyevent.ch
http://www.eden.ch/agenda-geneva (this page has a good list of events)
http://geneva.angloinfo.com/
http://genevalunch.com/blog/tag/events-in-geneva/
http://www.radiofrontier.ch/shows/whats-on-04-08-2011/

Hope this helps,

Max
