Hi

Hi all,

I have been a leecher and a member of this forum for about 6 months now. I moved to Zurich in May 2011. I used to work in a cushy, comfortable job in Bangalore, India. But madness struck and here I am as a PhD student in the Informatik (CS) department at ETH.

I have already met quite a few interesting people because of EF and hope to continue to meet more. Recently, my wife moved here to and we just moved to our apartment near Wiedikon. Loving Zurich so far. Still haven't ventured out much from Zurich (except for weekend trips to Lausanne and also one to Aachen).

Always ready for a beer or five. Please feel to ping me if you are in the mood to taste some indian curry. I cook pretty OK. Better than some of the so-called 'Indische' restaurants I tried.

Re: Hi

Welcome to the Forum Technix. Glad to hear your enjoying wiedikon. Have you found special places to buy your ingredients for your Indian cooking or did you bring some secret ingredients with .?

I come from the curry capital of England and really miss the Asian superstores.

All the best with your studies.

Re: Hi

@Meisie, thanks.

@pthompson (is that thomson with a p from tintin?)
Thanks a ton. I did bring some secret ingredients when i came over but i also managed to find (thanks to EF and some friends too!) at least 2 or 3 stores where I can get most of what i would need for my cooking. Let me know if you want to taste some curry sometime
