New to Zurich.

Hi people, my name is Felix, I'm spanish and I arrived yesterday from Barcelona with my girlfriend. Now we are living in Zurich, in a temporary apartment for the moment, tomorrow we'll start our visits to flats, she is from switzerland (I suppose this is an advantage to apply for flats).

I'm a chemist with an operations management master and 10 years of experience, and looking for job. Not the first thing i would say to charm anyone, but here I am.

I expect to learn the german language asap, I've seen some events to meet and practice german. In Barcelona we had also these meetings via government programs, i think it's a very good idea, I wil need several months to be able to go to these meetings.

Some of my hobbies:
Play boardgames, card games , rol playing games. I've seen some threads about meetings to play boardgames (nothing about rpg yet), i would like to join you some days. I have in english or non dependant language these boardgames: Puerto Rico, Blue Moon City, Lord of the Rings Confrontation, Hive and Citadels.

Photography. I like to take photos, usually when i travel around the world, I'm not the fanatic guy that wakes up at 4 o'clock to take some great photo (oh wait, yes I am, but only when i travel at far countries that I know I will not visit again). I've seen some threads of meetings to take photos around Zurich. I would like to join you some days.

Travel. Now only my girlfriend has work, we will need to wait some time before we travel again...

Football. Not to play, just watch my Barça winning everything

If he is from Barcelona I'm sure he is a great guy

My first day here, and for the moment no shock. I must say I'm living with a Swiss woman since 5 happy years ago, I'll be able to compare and see if she was biased to mediterranean culture when i met her or if she has the swiss german culture...OUCH

Re: New to Zurich.

Welcome to the forum Odar and to Switzerland.

Nice intro. I think you're gonna fit in very well around here.

Man, you've sure got me intrigued on the role playing games but no need to elaborate on that!

EDIT: Some of the EF guys and gals are into paintballing and which may be of interest to you? See here and here.

Well, interested of course if there is place, I love paintball. I haven't read the details, When is it? How can i get there? Price of the paintball? And the most important thing, how much for 500 balls?, I need to aim a lot you know...

Either run a Google search or check out the links to the two threads I listed in my earlier post for details of location etc and then get in touch with the relevant companies from there. Or, conversely, wait for the next EF session to be organized and look out for details on the forum. You decide.

Have fun!
