Hello to everyone,

I've been browsing for a couple of months on this site and it looks like a great resource for info on Switzerland.

To introduce myself - A middle aged grumpy sod who has signed a contract to work for a company based in Geneva. Well balanced with chips on both shoulders. Married. Have lived overseas for well over a decade.

I'm greatly looking forward to moving to Geneva and lowering the tone of the place (not fish & chips and Irish bars, more joie de vivre).

Look forward to sharing my grumpiness with as many of you as possible.

I've been to Geneva on a few occasions and went on an 'orientation visit' paid for by the company, so have a bit of a feel for the place (Costa Brava it is not, thank God. Good Lord though - some of the prices).

But I suspect I'll be posting a whole host of questions on these fora in the coming weeks!
