How is it that no one has yet said nice username Manny! (Or am I just the biggest female geek there ever was? )

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grim_Fandango for those who haven't the foggiest idea what I'm on about. Wish it was compatible with my operating system.

Welcome anyway. (It would be embarrassing if you really were named manny calavera now...)

The geeks don't know her that well yet.
And we will let her find her way to our little corner of EF.

*raises hand* Although I only meant "pimp out" in the sense of introduce, not in a bad way. I wasn't to be the beneficiary though, I hasten to say, I simply suggested that one EFer who has posted in this thread is a nice, intelligent, bloke (you could all be, for all I know... however unlikely that is).
About "one EFer who has posted in this thread is a nice, intelligent, bloke"

Strange, I do not remember posting here

Re: Swiss girl suffering from itchy feet

Good morning guys!

My conclusion post wasn't, in any way, meant as white flag. I just thought it was funny since the generalizing is usually a Swiss thing
And considering I've been posting on online forums for almost a decade now (damn, this makes me sound oooold. I AM still in my twenties!! Honestly ), I can handle a few horny boys.

What's up with that by the way:

Exactly how many is a few, and how much is your "handling" charge?

I think that you are causing more than itchy feet for the boys here....

There is an expression where I come from about "Flies around....." but you may take it the wrong way. Its the correct title for the thread though

I have vague memories of getting GF working one rainy weekend in a Windoze 7 VM some time ago. Seeing Manny's username made me want to hear the tolling of the bell when you whip out your scythe again. Maybe I will have a go at getting it working again... If I remember, I will respond to my own post with instructions.

For a quick fix try the new Monkey Island Special Edition!
Beeing a LucasArts fan since Maniac Mansion I was skeptical at first, but it's actually quite nice and it will probably run on your machine!

I never hear bells after I whip out my scythe, just the occasional giggle.

Well played and an official welcome. Boundaries have been played with, however not been set yet---be prepared for some more interesting bantering.

(btw I'm always up for being set up with a random--as long as they don't mind me being a world champion at Magic: The Gathering)

Re: Swiss girl suffering from itchy feet

It's funny, usually when you get a newbie intro thread running into 4 pages, it's a complete firestorm triggered by some daft but controversial opening statement ("I've been in Swiss for 5 minutes, where can I go and buy a gun and shoot stuff?").

This Intro is one of the best ones I've seen and has made my lunchtime!
