Moving to Basel

Hi everyone, I'm thinking of moving to Basel soon.
I'm English and but my mum is Swiss and from Basel, so I grew up with dual nationality and bi-lingual.

I've reached that stage in life where i'm ready to start a new chapter. So depending on whether I can find a job to support myself, I plan on moving to Switzerland soon.

The only people I know in Basel are my grandfather, and my aunt and uncle. so it will be a big move.

I'm hoping to make some friends and get to know people on here, as well as scope out the local job opportunities.

Re: Moving to Basel

Welcome to the forum.
If you haven't already done so, check out www.jobs.ch - that's what I used to find my job here.
Good luck with the search - and with the move, whenever that may be.

Re: Moving to Basel

Thanks everyone )
I've already had a look at the jobs section, there definately seems to be a good broad selection.

If anyone could reccomend any other job sites, I'd be very grateful.

What industry do you work in and what is your background, that sort of thing will help.

I find that Baselers are pretty easygoing, and if you take the first step, very easy to befriend as well.
The EF'ers are even more easygoing and welcoming, although some have some extremely snappy tongues!

Welcome to EF, and may your move to Basel be pleasant!
