New to Kusnacht and can't find the u-umlaut

Here day two in CH....it is an interesting ride and getting used to driving 0.5 kph under the limit. Hello to all you happy wanderers! Married, DINK, East Coast is the place I love the most. Looking for advice on where to find those extruded, plastic speaker cable covers that you run against the wall to hide the Monster Cables (Zurich locale). Need to hook up the surround sound system which seemed of normal scale in Chicago, but somehow appears like Marshall stacks at a Who concert in my living room here!

Best Regards,

David

David welcome...I am in Kusnacht as well. There is the Coop Bau Hobby on the Seestrasse. I got mine there.

Welcome from another Küsnacht-er!

Florida99 is right - Coop Bau and Hobby down in Goldbach is where you need to go. One stop on the S6 or S16!

If you're having trouble fixing it, Papa Goose, a fellow EFer is the person you should contact. He is the one who sorted everything out for me. Fantastic handyman!

Welcome!

if you have a keyboard without umlauts try keeping the alt button down while pressing the following numbers, when you release the alt button it should appear

alt -132 ä
alt -148 ö
alt -129 ü

Re: New to Kusnacht and can't find the u-umlaut

and if you want to get really fancy (not the numbers have to be used on the number pad, not on the top row)

alt + 0223 = ß
alt + 0233 = é
alt + 0231 = ç
alt + 0237 = í
alt + 0225 = á

But it's easier on a Mac and you should buy one of those instead.
