Is Cafe du Cerf the place to go in Nechatel for expats?

Hey So I am a 20 year old au pair in Neuchatel and looking or some other english speakers to hang out with from time to time. Its gets a little difficult speaking french 24-7. I heard from the previous Au pair (who apparently spent massive amounts of time there!) that there are lots of english speakers there and I wanted to see if any of you know about it?

Yes, just to confirm what Ittigen said.

We haven't set up an event for a little while, maybe we should arrange some sort of meet-up for the Fête des Vendanges?

I can't stand the Fete des Vendanges (I know there is very little I do like). But I'd definitely be up for a meet up at the Cerf since I'm back in the country.

Get it sorted Kamarate!

Perhaps an autumn walk some time, as we never did much walking last time!!

BTW planning a walk (nothing too streneous!) next week (week day, morning or pm) with another member or 2 - anybody available day time wants to join us?

I believe there is a meeting this Thursday pm at the Café des Cerfs- why not turn up.

I'm in depending on the day. Thursday (all day) is best for me but Tuesday am or pm and friday pm would be Ok too. Wednesday pm would mean I'd have to bring T with me but I'm sure he wouldn't mind as he loves 'Auntie Odile'.

Arrghh - and it goes both ways, Remember you can 'off-load' him here if ever you want or need a week-end away (will take the pets too!).

Anyway, will soon decide on a day and time- and let's hope for nice weather. Looking forward to it.

I would love to but am busy working and covering classes next week.

But yes, I think Odile is right. Something going on next Thursday (I think it's a meeting about starting an am dram society - am I right?).

Right you are, it's Friday. My mistake! Hopefully you'll be able to find a quiet corner away from the live music if discussing is what you want to do.

In the Cerf on a Friday night it's highly unlikely I think. They'll probably be tellys on with some match or other too. Probably not the best day to choose for a serious theatrical discussion I would say.
