From India

Hello everybody,
This is Prakash from India, working as an IT consultant for a well renowned bank. I stay at Zurich. From my fifteen days of experience I found Switzerland to be calm and friendly environment to all including non EU foreigners. People are polite, friendly and honest. I feel it's a lovely place to live. I say hi to everone to treat me as one of your friends.

Hi Prakash

Welcome to Switzerland!

What about the weather? Is it much colder than in India?

Re: From India

At present it is more or less similar to Bangalore, but it might change drastically on first week of October as winter starts. Now sun sets around 8:00 and day by day it is gradually reducing.

The last winter was hardly noticed here in Switzerland (Lasted for only around two weeks). Probably partially affected due to the recent climate change.
Let's see how this one will turn out.

Have you had strange weather in Bangalore too, this year?

(My avatar picture was taken in Mumbai at one of their recent floodings )

Re: From India

No, Bangalore is feeling the winter naturally, it is not cut short. It rained well and doing so. India has experienced the monsoon this winter and got heavy rainfall this year.

It's worth mentioning that we only had 17 days of summer too.
