Hi everyone
I am a UK student in English and French Literature who has just moved to Lausanne for an ERASMUS exchange at UNIL. I have only been here a week but have already been seduced by the views and people in this city! I'm initially contracted to one semester but (if I can afford it) would like to stay the year.
I'm going to be taking French courses too because my skills are very rusty and everyone here speaks at least three more languages on average then people back home in England!
I'm also going to be advertising myself as a proof reader of English language documents (essays, correspondence, cover letters, CVs etc.) once I'm able to post on the Markets forum - or even a English tutor.
Does anyone have any other tips on how to survive in this expensive country?!
Would be great to meet any other Lit students, english/french speakers etc. in the area.
Jon
