Hello! I have been working as a US expat at a bank in Geneva for the past two years. I am african-american and in my mid-thirties. When I moved here, I had just lost my mother suddenly and had never actually lived alone or even cooked for myself. (Pathetic I know, at my age.)
Moving to Geneva was the best thing that could have happened to me as I was forced to be independent and to 'grow up'. I am now a pretty good cook, as well.
These forums have been an immense help to me (and very funny at times) for the past two years. I've always found my answers through searching for the same question, and 99% of the time it has already been asked.
And I'm sure I will be using it for some time to come, as I have just made the decision to stay in Geneva as a local employee.
