Another london lass to zurich

Hi Everyone,

I transferred from London to Zurich earlier this year and looking for a change of scenery all round.

I'm female, mid thirties, single, enjoy fitness (although been a while) , eating out (cooking skills very limited), a beer or two, and trying out new hobbies..

Interested to try wall climbing, get back into running, maybe try this hiking business, and give snowboarding a go too..although a warm pub and a roast dinner probably appeals more, generally need to mix it up a whole lot more.

Feel as if Iím getting used to the pace of life here far to quickly, and verging on lazy, any excuse! and not good, so im straight off to search through the forums and all the useful info.

So much choice here, where to start..so If like me your finding your feet (or have recently found them) in this sometimes weird but wonderful country, it'll be good to hear from you

Ideally looking to go different places each weekend combining whatever is up for grabs, so I think I'll start by joining the bar crawl in Basel on sat, ease myself in gently :0)

Look forward to meeting some of you.

C

I like you describing the country as weird but wonderful... Yes, it is an appropriate description.

On a serious note, welcome to Switzerland! Things are of course slower here than London (which remains one of my favourite cities in Europe! , but if you like hiking or nature it should be ok. I am on the east side, maybe will not meet often, but still see you around ok? Enjoy.

Welcome, as you're no doubt figuring out Zurich is quite a change from London.

Keep an eye on the events boards for social opportunities. Meetup and Glocals are other options.

All the best!

Welcome to the forum London Lass!

I have been here 6 months and have fallen in love with the nature and mountains. I live near Chur, total wilderness and right by the mountains- about 1.5 hours from Zurich.

Enjoy Switzerland!
