I was over in Switzerland on Monday and Tuesday and travelling down to Fribourg, well Marly to be precise, for my 3rd interview. At the end of the interview I was offered the job. So I have returned just to think things over but I am 90% in favour of the move.

By the way I am Irish and I hope to live in the city centre, as I am 32 and single.

Congrats on your new job, I live in VD and its so lovely here not same situation 28 married, 3 kids but would think if you are working this gives you a chance to meet new people in your work environment, find places to go etc.
I wasnt sure about coming beforehand but after only 3 months i would never go back to live in the UK. I looked it as i would rather regret coming and go 'home' than wonder and regret not doing it.

Kilns, congrats on getting the job in Marly. As I said in your earlier thread, a good place to meet English speakers is Paddy Reilly's Irish pub on Grand Place in Fribourg. The assistant manager there is Irish and there are a fair few British, Irish, Aussie etc regulars.

hey - welcome Im irish too - im 29 and have 2 daughters - both under 2 years old Im livin in Yverdon-les-bains (been in switzerland for 7 years now!! how time bloody well flies) I could never go back to Ireland now despite missing my family and friends so much - switzerland is addictive Fribourg aint too far from here - give me a shout if you wanna few gargles some time ...
