Re: Yay i'm now in Neuchatel

In spite of having a few posts already I cannot see an Intro from you, so I've moved this to the right spot for you to get welcomed on here.
Welcome to the Forum.

A representative of the Regional Welcoming Committe for Neuchatel will be along in a minute for a more personal greeting.

Paging Odile.

The first thing you need to do is stop converting back to pounds.

Look at the cash in your hand - do you have enough for a Mars bar? Yes? Then buy a Mars bar.

Then eat it, smug in the knowledge that it would be an expensive treat for any of your compatriots paid in their own currency...

Re: Yay i'm now in Neuchatel

Beer is cheaper than Mars bars though.

Good point by DB - as long as you keep converting prices back into pounds, you will carry on being shocked. Forget pounds and focus on what things cost versus what you're earning, you will probably find that you're better off here than in the UK.

Oh, and good luck with your first day in the new job !

My OH loves Toblerone... but always buys it in the UK (Coals to Newcastle)

Good Luck in the new job - Neuchatel is a great town

Shame you didn't end up in Neuenburg - you may well have found yourself better off.

Hi Dayo - glad you made it, Did you find a flat? Got visitors arriving tomorrow for a few days - but hope you find some people to have fun with this week-end! Have you been to Café du Cerf yet?
