Hi!

My names Naunidh (people call me "Nauni") and have very recently moved from London to Lausanne. Reason being that I have just started a PhD in physics at EPFL (I'm not a geek...honestly), so in Lausanne for at least the next 4 years, quite scary yet nonetheless exciting. Hope this does not sound too generic, but stuff I like:

-music (particularly live-good djs/electronic and bands, festivals, but really open to everything)
-Running, skiing, hiking, looking to embrace more outdoor activities (e.g. climbing) with these wonderful surroundings.
-Food + drink: cooking, checking out restaurants, cheese boards, geeking out on beer and pretending I know something about wine.
-Football (big man utd fan) & rugby
-Reading and cultural activities (going to museums etc)

Enjoy being socially active and checking out new things, but having moved on my own, haven't met a huge amount of people yet. So can't wait to get stuck into lausanne/swiss life.

Lausanne and Vaud has a pretty vibrant music scene.

Hey, Welcome! I'm a PhD at EPFL too (and completely in denial about being a geek), and love djs festivals snowboarding and just started rock climbing... Hope you settle in well, and let me know if u fancy a coffee - I'm 2 weeks in and struggling to concentrate on this mountain of literature!!

Forgot to mention, some of us are going to the cheese and wine night (have a look in the events calendar) tonight and then off to some bars afterwards - I'm meeting people for the first time and I'm pretty sure a lot of other people are in the same boat, so why don't you come along if you're free!

Re tonight, yes have just seen that and keen for both. Though not 100% sure whether I will be able to make it in time for the cheese and wine thing but will try, if not hopefully see you at the bar!
