What about your coworkers, or joining meetup.com? I've found that's a pretty good way of meeting new people. Good luck!

Hi,

I arrived in Zurich three weeks ago from Dublin to work at a bank.

Since then I am boring.

I speak both German and English and have literally nothing to do on weekends. Plus I don't know anyone here.

Anyone reading this interested in playing Chess, Badminton, watching movies, old TV shows or anything like that, please reply. :-)
Are bankers the new accountants ..... hmmm?

You have already cleared one of the biggest hurdles that many have, by speaking German - get out there and communicate.

I would guess to move here in the financial sector you have a good remuneration package (let me think, now .... probably about 120K), so you should be able find something to do.

And, in general, in response to some of the replies .... is this what we have come to? - if you can't shop on a Sunday, then the World as we know, has come to an end, and we might as well spend the day in bed (ahh ... that was one of the 3 options given earlier), as there is nothing else to do.
