Hello from Portugal

Hello everyone!

I've been lurking around this forum for some time and decided it was time to join in. Even if i don't move to switzerland in the next months, its possibly THE place for me to grow a career.

I studied Biochemistry in the university and it seems like switzerland has great jobs for people like me...just hope someday i get one

Re: Hello from Portugal

God I hope so

Portugal is going through a crisis and it will be a lot worse in a few years. We got to the point where PhD researchers are "fighting" for research grants meant for the BSc researchers.

Its a shame because i do love my country, weather, history...but you just can't live like this, you just survive

Re: Hello from Portugal

Welcome!

I know how it goes.. only my wish to move doesn't come from necessity. I hope that, when you get to know the country and people (the people part will be a little harder for a warm blooded portuguese ), you change your mind and love your stay in Switzerland.

Worst case scenario, you can find portuguese people everywhere, even in the EF (me included).

All the best!
