Roger that, Genevoises... I'm in Boreal on Rue de Stand this morning. I have already seen one curly haired woman - who was not Scottish! xx

I was at the back at the wee table at the door. Doh! I was there from about 8:50 until 9:45! Two coffees and I'm still buzzing now.

I feel like such a goose! I had said hello to two other people and was starting to look like I was trying to pick up people. I know what you look like. We look similar. I'm here again today... but probably not for long. I'm sorry I wasn't bolder. I sat in the corner so the dog wouldn't be snap at people.

Boreal is great, pity about all the expats though!

Welcome to Geneve. My wife and I moved here from Melbourne over a year ago now and we are having a great time. Not everything is perfect of course, but it is all about your attitude and having a sense of humour.

Don't know if you have been directed to or discovered glocals yet but there is an aussie group on there who periodically try to organise events, you might be interested to check it out if you get desperate for the accent.

Personally I take advantage of the multi-cultural mixing pot that is Geneve and try to avoid aussies
