| | Hi!
Hey everyone!
I am 24 year old guy from Australia who manages to have a little red book due to both my parents being swiss. I ended up in swtizerland after supply teaching for 6 months in lodon, got bored with that and moved here to fix up my parents mistakes and learn german! Presently living in Winterthur and playing with the idea of sticking around a living here. But that depends on fitting in and finding good work. Ideally in education but at the moment anything will do! need money to fund my klubschule fees :-P
High School teacher, very fresh but keen!
Would love to meet people and hear from other educators who have made in the CH!
Say hi!

G'day Dave.
I've got an Aussie mate here who is in the same boat except that he's a plumber. Still he managed to only get 2 months of schooling paid for by RAV. Anyways see how you go ay. All you really need is a few months full time schooling and some enthusiastic dedication. Let me know if you need a heads up on getting started with the language as I've been here just 4 years but have managed to pick up both forms of German pretty good..... If I may say so myself.....
Best of luck, from a fellow Aussie

Tom | | | | | my dead Grandmother lived in that region. My Grand Father was one of 4 Pesenti's Fritz he was called. I have no idea about his brothers or sisters (who they are, could find their names out though). His father first registered in Zurich. If you feel brave ask your neighbour if they had a brother named Fritz (died of cancer early 80s i think)

Simply, you should just go to your heimatort to get your family tree, and thus know the origin of ALL of your Swiss ancestors!
They have ALL of the information, and of course know the information for immigrants from other cantons. I know my wife's lineage for the past 150 years, and a friend knows his for 1000!
