Say "Fromage"

I've just registered to this forum 10 mins ago and would like to say hi to everybody before heading to bed.

My name is Mei and I'm a Malaysian Chinese. Lived in Melbourne, Australia for about 5 years and now in Switzerland for almost 3 years. Loving the country and highly appreciating the fresh air and amazing sceneries from Bassins! Ohh and the pastries and chocolates too!

Bonne nuit!
Mei

Re: Say "Fromage"

Welcome to EF Mei.
My husband and I are planning to go to Malaysia on holiday. However we have to wait a bit as with the relocation we have used up all our travel money and annual leave days. But hopefully this time next year we will be packing our bags.

Hey there Mei! I'm new to the forum as well (still working on my intro though...). Get this, I'm Malaysian and I also spent a while down under. But I've only been here (going on) five weeks tomorrow! Thought I'd holler and say hi!

Hello Purple 7374,

You will love Malaysia.
Most of my "continental" friends went on vacations there. The moment they came back, they were already planning a revisit

Hello Jrspet,

It is nice to know that there are some Tanah Tumpah Darah 'kaki' in Switzerland.
3 years here and I have not spoken to a Malaysian until I found this forum
So it is somewhat a warm feeling.

I would love to taste the Hainanese Chicken! Such a pity that it is in Zurich as I live about 3 hours away from there

Thank you for the information. Sure hope in the near future there will be some Malaysian gatherings near canton Vaud.

Re: Say "Fromage"

I might consider joining in to a future gathering even in VD. Food bonds Malaysians

Most of the Malaysians I have met in CH were on their final stages of their contract here, heading back home, a handful were members on here as well.

Count me in too!
I miss yum cha sessions and bonding with friends over a table filled with food (especially steamboat!).
Great conversations, great laughters and great food...ahhhh those were the days.
