Hi all!!

Hi all, my name is Federico and I'm from Italy.
I read a lot of post of the forum and I'm interested in moving to Switzerland (Zurich is my favorite). Next year (April) I will take a degree in computer engineering and I am doubtful whether to seek a job in Switzerland immediately, or, before, to get experience in Italy (and maybe learn German).

Hi all

Re: Hi all!!

Welcome Federico!

If you plan to move to Switzerland, I'd suggest you to start looking for a job (or for an internship, since you don't seem to have previous working experience) here asap. You could study some German in the meantime.

By the way, German is definitely an asset if you want to move to Zurich, but there are also jobs/internships requiring e.g. English plus one/two other European languages. So, if you speak English and Italian and maybe one between French or Spanish, you might have a chance even if you don't speak German.

All the best

Re: Hi all!!

Welcome to the forum.

Coming from Italy myself and knowing the job market there, my suggestion would be to try in Swizerland directly. An internship or a junior position could be a way to start. German is not necessary if you work in an international company.
